Frequently asked questions
Is PobitroBondhon a dating app?
No. It is a marriage platform for practicing Muslims. There is no swiping, no public likes and no anonymous chat. Conversations open only after a proposal is accepted and, for female members, after the guardian acknowledges it.
Can anyone see my photos?
Photos are private by default. A member must request access, you or your guardian approve it, and access expires after 7 days unless you revoke it sooner. Each view carries a watermark with the viewer’s Biodata ID.
Do I need to pay to reply to a proposal?
Never. Responding to a proposal you received is free on every plan. Guardian accounts are always free.
What does “Highly Verified” mean?
The member has verified email and phone, and a verification officer has reviewed their identity document and selfie. Identity verification is separate from paid membership and cannot be purchased.
What happens when I get married?
Choose “Alhamdulillah, I got married”. Your biodata leaves discovery, photo access is revoked and pending proposals close. Sharing a success story is optional.
